I stopped in here passing through town and got the Chicken Fried Chicken, which was very good! I requested the gravy on the side, which didn't happen, and my waitress offered to take it back, but why cause a fuss when I can scrape it off like the picky eater I am? Service was a little slow for a near empty night, but I suppose the saying that small towns have time to spare is true, and I was in no rush. (However, my folks sure were!) I'd come by again if I was to find myself in town once more.

Not a fan. The staff was nice and the service was quick, but the food was not all that great. Later that night everyone in my party had terrible stomach aches.

The food, service and atmosphere are great! If ur in town do yourself a favor and stop into cables on main. I got the Insulator Italian sandwich and it is amazing.

Good location and close enough from Hampton Inn to walk. Service was pleasant; IPA on tap was good. The food was okay; rather mediocre. I had the individual pizza salad combo. Lettuce was limp, not at all fresh. The basil tomato dressing was tasty, however. The Mediterranean pizza would have been much better if the chicken was not dry and tasteless. It tasted like it was freezer burned. I did like the combination of Gorgonzola cheese with the spinach and tomato. All things considered, a burger might have been a better bet.

Berry spinach salad, Reuben Stromboli & BLT were all very good, as were the watermelon mojito and Kentucky mule!

Food is okay but the staff makes up for it, very friendly. We've been back several times.

Great food, super friendly and fast service. There were 10 of us in the party, and everyone was happy with the service and especially food :) Loved the historic building!!

Cables averages out to 3 stars because the food is pretty good but the service is often lacking. If you want above average service you have to sit at the bar, but trying to find a seat amongst dreary regulars (who seem to have their own territory marked) is not easy and you feel like you're interrupting a private moment between them and the bartenders which is very uncomfortable. The patio is great, but again you tend to get ignored out there too.

In town visiting some friends and ate here a few times. Excellent service and even better food. They have your bar favorites to great Italian meals. I had the BBQ burger yesterday and it was delicious and flavorful. Will most definitely be going there again when I come back in town. You'll feel welcomed the second you walk in the door!

This place is so outrageous with the prices it's just wrong. The woman that work here are very easy on the eyes. This rating has nothing to do with the service. Food is mediocre. Appetizers?.. None under 10 bucks. 4 fried pickles $12 !?!?!? This is an oil/gas area. That's why the prices are insane... I have an expense account and still refuse to eat here just on principle.

Stopped on a cross country trip. The place was empty at 3:00pm so we were seated immediately. Service was a tad slow for us being the only customers. Loved the menu selections. Special of the day was all u can eat spaghetti for 5.99. Excellent deal for a hungry 9 year old and it was home made pasta!!! Our other selections were a delicious salad and a pasta Alfredo both good portions. Moderately priced and a really cool ambience. Love the brick!!!! Would definitely return.

In a town that doesn't offer much more than fast food, this place was great. Food exceeded expectations for all three of us. Prices are slightly higher than what you would expect, but still affordable. Entrees average $13-25 depending on what you're in the mood for. Good variety of food as well. Could stand to have better beers on draft and service was not bad (new server). Would definitely go back.

Standard issue bar fare. Good bartenders. Reasonable drink prices. A touch expensive on the food side. Large portions. If you are after a place to have drinks and some grub, this is the spot.

The beers are super expensive here as well as everything else. Hate to write a bad review but I am beginning to see why this place is always dead when I stop in. Nice atmosphere and a large shady patio.

All the food I've had has been good! Just a little pricey though. The bar area usually has great service. One big minus is the mens restroom has not had doors on the stalls since I have lived here...and thats been almost a year. The tall male manager lied to me giving some story about renovating. Dont insult your customers intelligence.

Burgers were great but a bit pricey. Service was excellent and they had a great selection of beer. Another in my group had the Reuben and said that it was fantastic.

Stopped in for a drink and a quick bite. There really wasn't anything wrong with the service or quality of food, but this place just seems to have no character or atmosphere. The decor seemed predictable for what seems like a fairly new establishment and the bartenders are identically dressed in the generic khakis and polo shirts with company logo. I've been in airport bars with more personality. But the pizza was good. So there's that.

Very average. The service lacked any amount of speed or friendless... and we were there on a Monday night. It wasn't busy. We had the Carnivale pizza. It was good, not exceptional. The best part of the meal was a good price on a huge mug of beer.

We've been on the road all day and thought we'd treat ourselves to a sit-down meal. So hungry and tired, we'd probably be happy with stale bread and water. Our last meal was at McD--who did a much better job than cables. The salad was wilted and the croutons soggy. I told the waitress and she just preceded to clear the plate and after a lot of time passed preceded to bring out cold spaghetti that would have tasted better if they just used ragu and another soggy tortilla wrap. Gross! Well, hopefully they were just having a bad night.

The greeter was excellent. A wonderful ambiance and the food was good but the services was really bad. They got the order wrong. The manager brought the salad after the main course was served. If she had been a good manager, she would have comped something but she did not.

Great service with good portions. Fish and chips were abundant and batter was crispy and cornmeal based. Fries were perfect.

Can't believe this place managed 3 stars. I am a fort Morgan resident and I do not like this place at all. I have never eaten anything here that I truly liked, the drinks never taste right & are way over priced. The only redeeming qualities they have id a shot called "Birthday Cake". It's delicious. The only other thing I like about this place is that they have sidewalk seating with fire pits so its a prime spot to sit during the Fall Harvest Car Show & check out all the classic cars.

I have eaten here twice on business trips. Good service, pleasant and friendly. Both times I've ordered the same salad. Unfortunately, I don't see it listed on the Cables website, so I don't know what it's called. It had grilled chicken, bacon, tons of blueberries - giant salad with all the fixings. I actually think the portion size is a bit much. That's life in the US! No wonder we have an obesity issue. Anyway, the salad may not be super-healthy (bacon). In fact, the first time I ordered it, I swear they poured bacon grease on the salad along with the vinaigrette dressing. The second time, I explained to the waitress that I didn't want bacon grease. She said she would put on the dressing herself and monitored what was being done with my salad - which I very much appreciated. The second time I went, the service in terms of waiting for a salad was ridiculously slow. I must have waited 20 minutes. I will return again on my next business trip. There are not a great many places to eat in Fort Morgan and I know this is a safe bet!

Agreed that this is a pub and not an Italian place. But nonetheless, the food was really good, the portions were huge, and the service was excellent. Come here if you're looking for a decent meal and a good drink and don't miss out on a game of pool.

This is a pub, and not an Italian restaurant. I had a 12" pizza, I ordered the pesto chicken. When it came, there was no pesto, but it still tasted good with red sauce and fresh veggies. The only craft brews they had were Fat Tire and Sunshine.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
